I know that many with EDS have POTS but I have been reading a lot lately about , what docs call Autonomic Neuropathy and it sounds a lot like POTS only it is usually secondary to other systemic disease ie.. Cancer, diabetes, etc…  I read that many times it is the presenting symptoms of a hidden cancer that can be difficult to find.  Has anyone ever encountered this or familiar with this?

Hello thedales…. there are different types of POTS, but I do have the type that can sometimes be confused with Neuroendocrine tumors.  Family history and testing can pretty much clarify which is which.

Many times, folks are not aware of the POTS subtypes, so leaving a link to a paper that explains. There 2 broad categories, Primary and Secondary.

Hope this helps.
