I am very interested in giving Neuroprotek a good try (3 months) but am confused as to whether it replaces other things I am taking. I have looked at Dr. Theoharides’ website and some videos but there is almost too much information for me to find the tree in the forest.
I am hypermobile so most likely not histamine intolerant. But i do have food sensitivities. My older brother (70) is hypermobile/high functioning autistic so this also leads me to believe I am not histamine intolerant but have something going on with mast cell or basophil or neutrophil activation.
I have responded almost miraculously to Parasym plus, diamox and prescription strength potassium citrate. I also take magnesium citrate, ester C, D3, sometimes fish oil caps (but i seem to not really want to take fish caps for some strange reason).
When I added the H1 antagonist (generic Zyrtec ) my improvement was another exponential leap forward (why did I wait so long?) The H2 antagonist (generic Zantac ) does not agree with me, though. I was getting ready to discuss with my Internist stabilizers and other histamine antogonists, when I learned about Neuroprotek.
My question is: does Neuroprotek replace any of what I am taking or do I just have to experiment to see? If I am to experiment, any suggestions as to what order I should discontinue stuff? I was speculating Neuroprotek would replace the Histamine antagonists and the stabilizers. Does that seem correct?
Thank you Dr. Diana. My quality of life has improved tremendously due to your research and it’s so nice to know that it will continue to improve.
