Calcium deposits in blood vessels

Anyone know what’s up with calcium deposits in blood vessels like the aorta, iliac arteries, and brain????  In the last few months I have had “rocks” show up on a head CT and now in an abdomen CT.  A quick online search shows they are an indicator of cardiac disease. My questions is why now?  Why so many so suddenly?  I didn’t have any in me head last August.  Now they are there in multiple places.  With my dad dying of an abdominal aortic aneurysm I sure want to know if there is something that can be done.

So, any ideas?

It’s good to be open minded, but not so open minded that your brain falls out of your head.

This sounds very similar to my dad. He was diagnosed with calcification of the arteries and has a TAA.

Not much more I can tell you than that unfortunately.
