On Monday, I rolled my ankle getting up from the couch. I’d been lying with my feet propped up above hip level on a yoga ball. I moved slowly as always and I’m not sure what happened… my ankle just gave out and rolled out as I stood up. I thought I had broken it as I looked down and saw the bottom of my foot facing upward. Nausea hit me and I was barely able to crawl to the phone for a friend to help who drove me to the clinic. They took xrays, sent me home with crutches and an ankle brace and Tramadol pain killers. I just got a call that the radiologist report said there were no fractures but noted a “benign bone island” on the tibia.

Anyone else have this finding on xray before?
