Perhaps what was lost in discussion during your consultation with your doctor was CD57 is commonly found in people with Chronic Lyme.

A doctor cannot diagnose Lyme because of CD57 alone, as it’s an unspecific immune marker.
(E.g. CD57 is also low in HIV and CFS).
