I am not sure I understand the mechanics as to why Diamox works for external communicating hydrocephalus but am wondering since apparently Ginkgo Biloba is used as an alternative to Diamox for altitude sickness now whether it would help with external communicating hydrocephalus?
Has anyone tried/checked into this? I wonder if the effectiveness would be hampered by how acidic/alkaline the body is like Diamox?

This link gives an interesting overview of the herb and the percentage of “ginkgolides” to look for in a quality product and even doses.

Guess it’s not very expensive and probably wouldn’t hurt to give it a two month try since I do not have access to Diamox.
Thanks in advance.

We’ll done you for finding a connection there. I also wondering if it would help but not specifically hydrocephalus but intracranial hypertension. I look forward to hearing what comes of your find and how it might help.
