My daughter has Hypermobile EDS [like me]. She has what her optometrist calls wanna-be-tunnel-vision. When she was learning to drive we were shocked with how many stop signs and traffic lights she was missing; she could parallel park but not do the easy diagonal parking in supermarket parking lots! A therapeutic optometrist was recommended by a friend and he fixed the issue with yoked prisms in her glasses. I’ll never forget what my daughter said when she wore her new glasses for the first time, “I had no idea the road was this wide!”. These glasses were acquired right before she started college 9 years ago and also made a huge difference in her ability to read pages rapidly.
