Hi all, you know the most common symptom I hear is that horrible headache at the base of your skull that radiates down your neck to the tops of your shoulders. And yes, nausea, dizziness, some tremor is possible, hearing a “whooshing” sound is common, and just the “feeling” of pressure! I absolutely could not blow up a balloon (or any valsalva maneuver) without getting worse. OH! And motion sickness (oh my…), sensitivity to light, sound, and movement! My son and I both could not look at ceiling fans — nor our dogs running around the house. Terrible feeling. Diamox got rid of it overnight for my kids and I, and although I expected to need it forever, almost 2 years later (and lots of research, supplements, etc), I now only need it when I get inflamed, say, after the flu is a good example. Once you have had that pressure go away, you KNOW when it is back. I can trust my kids (usually) to know when they need it now, and it is no longer full-time. Yea!! Ask your doc? 😉

What others say

“Dr. Diana will always hold a very special place in my heart for her selfless devotion to helping everyone, not just the Ehlers-Danlos community. I hate to think what my life would be without her insight and guidance.”
