I have MS. Saw this “rash” on my thighs for the first time in July after sitting pool side with capris on. It was about 90* out. Then a few days ago I was sitting at the park with my kids in 73* with jeans on. So both times the sun did not “touch” my thighs. Got home and went into the bathroom and was shocked by the way my thighs looked. Weird that it occured on skin NOT exposed to the sun. The red lines have the appearance of the blood routing through the blood vessels of my thighs. But is only on my thighs and they were not bare to the sun.
Any one know what this is?
Hi Nancysmith, this is VERY HARD TO TELL without seeing it in person, but can you help us? Can you google pics of “livido reticularis” and see if that is what it looked like to you? Did you have this only on your legs? Ever have it before? I’m curious what medications you are taking, too. Have you tried antihistamines (like Zyrtec)? I’m curious if that had any effect. Any change in vasculature on the backs of your arms? Have you ever had any thromboembolisms? miscarriages? It sure is hard to help via the internet, but we’d like to help if we can! BTW, are you in Texas? Did you call about the treatment trials, perchance? 🙂 Diana
