Hello All,
I have been growing these hard rocks under my skin for years .Some are small and some are as large a a quarter and raise up on my skin becoming super hard and red and ugly.I have some that remain under the skin and never raise up you can feel them under the skin like little BB’s and they hurt sometimes. No doctor has ever been able to tell me what they are or why they are growing in my body in this way.Do any of you understand what I am going through?
Hi lilredhood27, I think I do!!! Do you have EDS? We are prone to all kinds of lumps and bumps — even some that calcify, which may (or may not!) be what you’re dealing with. Many of us suffer with Dercum’s Disease (painful fat), and many get fatty lumps or “spherules” under our skin. Right now, I have two big lumps that are starting to calcify under my scalp (ewww!). Most of our lumps and bumps are harmless, if not unsightly. But to be sure, especially if the bump is red, your doctor can remove them and send them to a pathologist for evaluation. My mom just had TEN lumps removed from under her scalp. (ewww, AGAIN!). 😉
