So most times my atenolol usually does its job for at least half of the night with my tachycardia but last night i could not get to sleep because my muscle around my left jaw was hurting a lot and i had so much pressure. I dont get neck pain like most of you do… I only get neck pain on the right hand side of my neck. I get it in the jaw the dentist who took my wisdom teeth out. Ive complained about these flare ups since 2007. They are quite painful and i usually take tylenol when it happens, my heart was also pounding i noticed and i tried to raise my pillow but my jaw would hurt even more. So i tried taking water… My mouth was pretty dry. But i ended up finishing the glass and i didnt wanna get out of bed because of the pain. These flare ups come and go. Lately my tachycardia hasnt been happening till being woken up at 4am.

Also sometimes the right side of my neck hurt and i noticed it was swollen in 2007 around the same time as my jaw… I went to the doctor and she felt my neck and didnt feel anything. She thought it could have been my lymph notes but no such luck. The swollenness goes away from time to time amd my neck feels fine but when it gets swollen oh man is it ever painful.

I think i really need to get on diamox but im also afraid to. My atenolol has been keeping my tachycardia under control for a few hours of the day but im just afraid the diamox will do wonders for my jaw and neck but might not help with my tachycardia. I read somewhere on this forum that a lady was on diamox but her doctor wanted her to get on a beta blocker as well and im not sure if the drugs would interact with eachother. Im just getting frustrated and im usually that optimistic happy girl but everyone has been asking me where you working? When you gonna work? Get a job! And they cant understand that i cant stand up for long periods of time. I would love to work in a photography studio or a store that sells camera equipment. But at the moment my body wont let me D: i want it to get better but i have so many tests infront of me before that moment. XD

Could your face pain be trigeminal neuralgia ?

Also, if you were to drop asleep, say sitting up on the sofa, would you wake still with tachycardia ?

“Dr. Diana will always hold a very special place in my heart for her selfless devotion to helping everyone, not just the Ehlers-Danlos community. I hate to think what my life would be without her insight and guidance.”
