8 years ago I was rushed to hospital because I kept passing out. I have done this many times since I have been 2 years old. This time my heart stopped for one minute. I had a pacemaker implanted. I was first diagnosed with Vasovagal syncope but after further testing was diagnosed with POTS. A couple years ago I started having terrible gastrointestinal issues. Those have gotten better but still have really bad bloating etc at times. Was told to just take beano by my dr. I started having really bad migraines after I ate preservatives in food. I told my regular dr about this and she put me on a anti depressant for migraines. Didn’t help at all. I told her I thought I could possibly have mast cell. She said no because I don’t get a rash and mast cell is something I definitely didn’t want. I have started working out and been told by two different people I have hyper mobility. My sister was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos but her dr has since retired. The more I read I feel like POTS is not the only thing I have. I have been told POTS is a result of something else usually. My Dad also has alopecia is which can be caused by mast cell and that it comes in family clusters. I’m just trying to figure out where to start. My family dr doesn’t seem to have a clue as to what to do with me therefore just kind of dismisses me. I am at a loss. I’m 40 now but at 15 had to have back surgery for herniated discs and have had another surgery since then and now still have bulging discs. I am pretty much sort of a mess

What others say

“Dr. Diana will always hold a very special place in my heart for her selfless devotion to helping everyone, not just the Ehlers-Danlos community. I hate to think what my life would be without her insight and guidance.”
