My d. has this since last October. Vascular & neurosurgical consults in January ruled out vascular or any other issues they could find via neck ultrasound, MRI & MRA testing. At that time, the recommendation a neuro-opth referral. My d. refused. I just saw her and noticed how dilated her pupils were. I also noticed the ptosis when she turned her head to look in another direction. She us finishing up college. I am worried. I made an appt for her with a pediatric neuro-opth (she is 23) cuz I’ve been to all the rest and they are too old and crusty (and cold) for her. This one is also teaching, been practicing about 6 years and us an MD / PhD. I’m hoping my d. will comply and like her should follow-up be necessary.

I’m thinking 3rd nerve palsey….but no specific trauma noted. She has no pain and no other symptoms. Any relationship to EDS (she is type III)? Thoughts anyone ?

“Dr. Diana will always hold a very special place in my heart for her selfless devotion to helping everyone, not just the Ehlers-Danlos community. I hate to think what my life would be without her insight and guidance.”
