Does anyone have recommendations for Dr.s who deal with MCAD/Mastocytosis? I live in central Pennsylvania, closer to Pittsburg than other big cities.
Thanks,
Christi

Hi Christi, If you have EDS or POTS (and even if you don’t, actually) THE doctors to see concerning mast cell issues are Dr. Castells and Akin — they are in the same office in Boston. Wow, are they good! Their number is 617.732.9850.
If that won’t work for you, the folks on the forum at http://mastcelldisorders.wallack.us
are wonderful and may be able to recommend someone a bit closer to home. Please let us know if you find someone you like, OK? 🙂
I think I will give them a call just to see if I have MCAD or to rule it out. I need to understand what IM dealing with as well.
Oh — Dr. Afrin in N.Carolina is good, I’ve heard. And I mentioned Dr. Castells. After speaking to Dr. Akin (Dr. Castell’s associate), I would recommend Dr. Castells. Ahem. 🙂 Diana

“Dr. Diana will always hold a very special place in my heart for her selfless devotion to helping everyone, not just the Ehlers-Danlos community. I hate to think what my life would be without her insight and guidance.”
