Hi…my dr has been watching my narrow angle glaucoma for like 5 years now. It was kind of narrow and then last year he said it got better. Then this week I went and he said it is worse and wants me to do the laser surgery to make a drain hole. I was wondering if spinal fluid pressure causes this. I don’t get how it was bad then better then worse now. I really don’t want to do the laser bc not sure if it will help. What do you think. Is there something else that might help with this. I do not want to have an attack. Thanks sooo much!!!

Hi Momof3, Narrow angle glaucoma is not related to spinal fluid pressure. It’s a structural issue (you have a narrow angle where the fluid of your eye drains. In darkness, when your pupil dilates, the iris scrunches up and can block the drainage angle. The laser creates an exit for the fluid and does so very well. One treatment is usually good for life. I don’t think you need to worry. Please let us know how it goes!

Hi dr Diane. Thank you for replying so quickly!! I have some more questions. Why would my narrow angle glaucoma get be bad then get better then get bad again? That is why I thought maybe my neck or spinal fluid had something to do with my pupils. So you recommend me getting the laser surgery even with eds? Also I was wondering…my naturalpathic dr told me I have too much copper in my body. I was reading a lot about it and copper has a lot to do with connective tissue. Do you think maybe that has something to do with my week ligaments and connective tissue. Thanks so much for your thoughts!! I really appreciate everything you do! You are awesome!!! I’m getting ready to watch your newest video.
