Participanthello! i was so excited to read dr diana’s interview with yasmina. 🙂 i feel that maybe finally someone can explain the connection between my different symptoms. i have had anxiety, tachycardia, vulvar vestibulitis, tmj, chronic tension / tight muscles for decades. My tachycardia and palpitations are not POTS… its not brought on so much by postural change as by stress, EMFs and sometimes randomly.
I started taking liquid minerals and that made a HUGE difference in the tachycardia… went from hours a day to minutes a day… but i still have it, much worse when in a stressful situation. the vestibulitis has greatly improved after starting topical estrogen but is still there. my inner thighs are also very sensitive… wearing pants causes burning and irritation on the skin.
feels like my sympathetic nervous system is too sensitive / overreactive… always turned ON. now you’re helping me understand maybe it’s because my parasympathetic system is deficient and dysfunctional! that’s why the sphincter muscles can’t relax, thus the vulvar inflammation and pain (?)
i have never had hives, headaches, seasonal allergies or fatigue … so not sure i need the antihistamine diet. i have heard that vestibulitis can be linked to salicylates, so wondering if that diet would be better for me. don’t think the apple cider vinegar supp would help… feels like i have too much stomach acid already… when i take cider vinegar my stomach feels super acidic.
thanks so much for your help, all your research and for giving me hope!

KeymasterIt is difficult to say if your parasympathetic nervous system is low from your post, but it is certainly possible. We can’t measure acetylcholine in the blood, but we can look at presentation and get a general idea from that. Constipation, fatigue, dry eyes, large pupils are some of the most common symptoms we see (although constipation can be masked by diarrhea from inflammation). POTS is not necessary for this presentation, but is not uncommon. Fingers crossed for you!

Participantthanks for your reply, dr diana i went ahead and ordered parasym on the hope that it will help. it certainly can’t hurt, right? is one bottle enough to know if it will help?
never been constipated (unless you think one stool a day is constipated as some practitioners do). more often had loose stools. not quite diarrhea but alittle too loose and feel kindof “washed out” afterward sometimes.
usually not fatigued but maybe my sympathetic system being ON keeps me feeling alert. not sure if i have enlarged pupils… no dry eyes… very dry skin, though. it seems my resting heart rate is too high and can turn to tachycardia in any stressful situation, and sometimes just from physical exertion. climbing a hill too fast will often give me tachycardia. my head seems large but have never felt pressure in head or eyes, and rarely get headaches. did used to get them when i menstruated…. also had terrible cramps.
thanks so much for your time!!!
