ParticipantHello all,
I’m not sure if this could be EDS or dysautonomia related:
So in 2013 I was diagnosed with many gastric ulcers… After taking a PPI for a year, they healed… So a few months ago I stared to feel that burning ulcer like pain return… Nothing I couldn’t handle considering the amount of pain I endure on a daily basis…
So this past Monday I started getting this HORRIBLE unbearable epigastric pain and extreme nausea to the point that I couldn’t eat or barely drink. I kept trying to force myself to eat small things but I couldn’t… Then Wednesday January 13th I went to the ER bc the pain was unbearable… (I’ve always had GI issues, but never pain like this in the epigastric region)
After testing my blood they saw my creatinine level was elevated so they decided to keep me… They suspect it was elevated due to dehydration and recent NSAID useTo make a long story short, they did every test imaginable and everything was negative. The pain then started to radiate towards my left flank.
While i was having a hida scan in nuclear medicine i started vomiting and couldn’t lie flat due to the pain in my stomach… As a result I was unable to finish the second part of the test.
According to the GI dr, there were no ulcers that returned, just redness, but it was normal… (wouldn’t redness and inflammation in the stomach indicate that something was NOT normal???)After everything, they doctors just shrugged their shoulders not knowing what is causing the horrific pain, nausea and vomiting
They discharged me on Friday (yesterday)
Has anyone had a similar experience and could this be related to eds/pots/dysautonomia or mcas?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
KELLY
