I just wanted to add that I wish you the best in finding out what your wound is. I believe that in times like this, even if I can’t answer your question I can be supportive and tell you that there are other people like myself out there who wish they were healthier and able to contribute more and give you advice.

That is very interesting stuff about question with Hereditary Macular Degeneration. I have always found it weird how I have inheredited Macular Degeneration in one of my eyes which they found when I was 20 years old.

I have had to wear hard contact lenses since I was 14 or 15 years old. My eye doctor has tried to get me into soft contact lenses at 3 different times in my life and for some reason every attempt has failed. I’m the only person in my family of 4 who has to wear hard contacts, everyone else can wear soft ones for some reason.

If you find out any connection between Macular Degeneration and EDS please let me know.

I haven’t. I’m currently looking for Geneticists who are great at diagnosing EDS or a connective tissue disorder, do you have anyone you reccomend?

It actually does help and I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I’ve been to dermatologists and endocrinologists and my regular m.d., but don’t know what kind of doctor I need to go to so that I can get a diagnosis of my skin condition and possibly some answers about what treatment options there are for these skin problems.

I have had to put off a surgery because the surgeon was not willing to operate on me until I get a diagnosis or get my skin fixed. Any suggestions on what kind of a doctor or specialist I need to go to so I can get this skin problem figured out would really be appreciated.

I have also had problems with surgical wounds healing wrong which has developed into a scar that appears to be widened. It’s as if the skin was too tight to hold together and heal properly, so it just stretches apart and heals wide and unusual looking.

Anyone had anything similar to this happen?

I also have those tiny red dots that are about the size of the end of a needle. I can’t seem to find any doctor who is willing to look into it.

Thanks for the response. I decided to personally email Dr. Diana about my case, due to how fast my health and energy are getting worse on a daily basis and with the time I have been sick, I figured this is my best move. I do thank you for your response though, hang in there.
