I’m 53 and was told the reason for the triple Vision and soft focus in my right eye is caused by cataracts. I have been advised to have the surgery, yet my doctor doesn’t believe he needs to learn about EDS to perform the surgery. He states “oh I’ve done this 1,000 times, you’ll be fine”. I’m terrified at his attitude and need to know if cataract surgery is safe for me. Has anyone here had it done? I read Dr. Diana’s book on Kindle about eyes but it doesn’t have any info on cataracts. I heal terribly, have had a lifetime of surgeries, severe lacerations, bruises, nerve damage, dislocations, etc. I have good reason to be cautious and feel he is treating me like I’m some kind of hypochondriac. Help please. Thank you!

I am eager to see if others respond, but I wanted to tell you that I have not heard of any EDS patient having a problem with cataract surgery. I know most of us heal poorly, but I haven’t received any negative feedback (yet) for cataract surgery. Please keep us posted!

It’s odd that I have looked everywhere for info on it and not a mention that I can find. I’m not sure if I should take that as a positive sign? Now, if only I could get the butterflies in my stomach to move out…lol If you hear of anything, please do let me know. I’d be forever grateful.
