Hi, everyone, I am so excited because I have an appointment with Total Eye Care next week. Nervous, too, because I haven’t flown for years-last time I developed a blood clot-I will need to walk around a lot on the plane and hope for the best because this is so important to me. To talk to someone who UNDERSTANDS is a blessing in itself, but I’m hoping to get a diagnosis and treatment! I recently posted as a newbie on this forum, and Dr. Diana responded almost right away. I signed up for a consultation and learned so much! This forum is great-I don’t feel so alone.

Elaine, I’m glad that you have an appointment at Total Eye Care! I was just there last week and was nervous about the flying too(2 1/2 hr flight). I was fortunate not to run into any issues with the flight or the 3 day stay but it did wear me out. It took 3 days to get back to my ‘normal’ unhealthy self once back home 🙂
You might find the testing day to be long but it’s SO WORTH IT!
You won’t be sorry!! All the best!

Yes,I am back and recovering from the trip, trying to return to my “normal unhealthy self!” Totally in pain and wiped out, but so glad I had the opportunity to go, it really was worth the travel trauma. Dr. Diana and her husband are totally FABULOUS and so are the office staff. They have incredible technology and knowledge and are some of the nicest people you will ever meet!

No, I don’t think I would have survived if I’d tried to do it all in one day! lol. My husband couldn’t go, so a friend went with me, we flew very early on Monday, my appointment was Monday, then were back home last night (Tuesday). As it was, it was quite a whirlwind, and my husband was really worried about how I would “hold up.” I’m getting the TLC I need now that I’m home, and hanging in there! Thank-you to the people who have responded to my post, I appreciate the support!

What others say

“Dr. Diana will always hold a very special place in my heart for her selfless devotion to helping everyone, not just the Ehlers-Danlos community. I hate to think what my life would be without her insight and guidance.”
